There are concerns whether social distancing will be possible if all researchers are given permission to return to the floor.  This wing supports Academic medicine and we have 85+ workstations that support up to 130+ researchers.  Some desks are shared amongst them.  Currently, the only researchers on site are COVID related.  In addition,  of the 50 admin working on this floor we have only 1/3 currently working on site on a given day to ensure social distancing.  I am unsure when AHS is going to change the status for them.  Under normal circumstances we could have up to 300 people working in this wing and social distancing will continue to be a issue. We will be working with Dr. Adam Kiron and Nicole Romanov, Research Manager(U OF C) to ensure that this is done with safety in mind.

We will accommodate with some exceptions in terms of numbers of research staff, etc.  They would have to follow same fit for work screening and PPE/continuous masking as everyone else.  We would not want non-essential external parties in the area (ie pharmacy companies, reps, etc.).  Would not permit additional visits for research only, it would have to be part of a regular patient appointment/visit/procedure.
